Our Story

Corowa Common Camping is part of a long tradition of shared community land along the Murray River. The Corowa Common has been public land for well over a century and has always been a place where locals and visitors enjoy open space, nature and easy river access. It is a natural riverside setting, ideal for quiet camping surrounded by river gums.
The area has a long history of being used by the community for recreation, grazing and gatherings. Over time, the Common became a valued part of daily life in Corowa, offering a peaceful place for bush camping, walking, fishing and enjoying the Murray River. Historical records show that the Common was recognised early as an important local landmark, and it has continued to serve the community in many different ways.
Today the Corowa Common is cared for as community land, managed with the support of the Corowa Common Trust. Camping here continues that tradition. The campground offers affordable, self contained camping in Corowa NSW, providing visitors with simple, nature-based sites close to the water. All proceeds help preserve the land for future generations.

Corowa Common Camping is community run, relaxed and welcoming. It remains a place where people come to unwind, enjoy Murray River camping and experience the natural beauty of the Corowa riverside environment.
